  • The term Vixen

    It's mind boggling how the entertainment industry has been glorifying the term “vixen”  like it's a compliment in reference to video models. But look it up in the dictionary, the web's definition of a vixen reads several different entries but here's one that stuck out to me the most:

    Definition: 1. female fox: a female fox. 2. offensive term: an offensive term that deliberately insults a woman regarded as vindictive and bad-tempered 3. A woman regarded as shrewish or malicious ...

    Doesn't sound pretty sexy or empowering at all, does it? It's actually quite demeaning. Just some food for thought, so keep this in mind the next time you think about referring to yourself as a "Vixen".
